Drum Lessons
My bespoke lessons are tailored to suit the student’s needs, whether you are planning to take a grade examination, would like to improve your technique, are preparing for a gig/recording session or you simply want to learn for the pure enjoyment of playing the drum kit.
My students have over 100% success for pass or above in over 300 exams
Lessons are relaxed and fun, but structured
Drum lessons take place in an soundproof booth next to Chapter in Canton, Cardiff.
I am fully CRB/DBS checked.

Drum Kit Lessons
Each lesson varies based on your own particular requirements and can include:
- Rudiments/technical exercises
- Sight reading
- Creating grooves/fills
- Study of different styles/grooves
- Time keeping/metronome work
- Co-ordination and independence
- Musicality
- Transcriptions of your favourite songs to play along to
- Listening/aural exercises
- Playing with a backing track
- Trinity and Rockschool grades
